PEEPS

While I like to think I'm the chief cook and bottle washer of SweetTee Embroidery, and in many ways I am when it come to ultimate success or failure, a huge shout out to my husband is necessary. When I say he is the most mild mannered, go with the flow kind of guy, I am not exaggerating. And when the words "I have an idea" spill out of my mouth, after an eye roll or two, he rarely complains when my idea equals him having to do something.

With the launch of Sweet Tee, he is quickly learning which local stores carry particular colors and brands of shirts, thread, stabalizer and other emergency notions that I need- yesterday. Of course the majority of our supplies are ordered, but when your in the middle of stitching out an order and your hoop pops open, or your machine decides to eat a shirt (or you sew the front of an item to the back), having someone who can go! and find! the exact item you need to replace is priceless. Now, this didn't happen overnight; him learning the difference between just plain old red thread vs the 659, 892 other shades of red, or that a hanes tee is not even close to the same as a Gildan tee, or that when it comes to sizing, there is just no way to substitute a 2T with a child's S, has had its challenges. Needless to say, mistakes have been made! A less patient partner would run for the hills when hearing something on the lines of "ohhh shhooot" following the unmistakable beep that sounds when hitting the stop button on an embroidery machine. Thankfully, he appears to take it in stride as he grabs the car keys .. From unexpected - stop everything and find me another size XL ivory comfort color, to shipping runs, loosing the ability to sit at the dining room table, and maybe sacrificing a shirt of his own to my - but it's the exact material I need to test run on; though I'm positive I don't tell him nearly enough, Sweet Tee Embroidery wouldn't be possible without him. Thank you.

Add to the adult children who recieve random designs through text messaging saying "thoughts" and thier willingness to also help whenever needed. In particular the one who has been artistic since birth, who can color match like nobody's business, grab some ribbon, doo dads, a hot glue gun and put her talents to work. (after clearing off a spot at the table of course). Thank you!

And to those friends, who without skipping a beat, have supported Sweet Tee from day one. Whose words of encouragement, understanding and content sharing just blow me away. Thank you!

There is no such thing as sole ownership in any endeavor. And those that help in whatever you're creating, be it dinner for the family or an extravagant 6 course meal for 100 of your closest friends, hold more ownership than you ever will, because without them, install a revolving door so new help can quickly pick up where the old help left off after they hightailed it out of there. Your peeps and mine, are the backbone of what you do, make sure they know it.
